The Respect Safety Voice Project (RSVP) was able to break down perceived barriers and misconceptions particularly between vulnerable adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities and young people whom they fear when out and about in Croydon. The adults gained confidence working alongside the young people, who in turn gained respect and understanding for the adults’ vulnerability and needs.
RSVP delivered by Croydon Adult Learning and Training (CALAT) department for Adults with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities (ALDD), funded by Community Learning and Innovation Fund.
The Inclusive Creative Dance Project involved a range of partners including: Gemma Coldicott of South London Inclusive Dance Experience (SLIDE); Shirley High School; Brit School; Old Palace School for Girls of the Whitgift Turst; Riddlesdown Collegiate; Lewisham College.
